This book is NCEA's analysis of the student's responses to the ACRE (Assessment of Catholic Religious Education) surveys during the 1994-95 academic year. A sampling of the 139,000 students was subjected to multiple regression analysis which yielded several predictors of religious knowledge and practice. It also reports on the technical properties of the ACRE surveys, including their reliability and validity, which are of special interest to educational researchers. If one wants a description of the status of religious education based on data, this is the study.
