About this Item

This copy is from the personal collection of Will Henry Allen and has an inscription in Henry Allen's hand on the front wrapper that reads as follows: "Books of Henry Allen (Will Henry/Clay Fisher) in the exhibit P. 1." Narrow 4to. (24 cm.) 20p. Profusely illustrated with black and white captioned photos and drawings. Stapled booklet in brown photo pictorial wrappers with a vignette of a coiled rope on the front wrapper and two racing riders on the rear wrapper. Just a hint of bending to upper right corner of front wrapper and just a hint of rust on the staples, else fine with no internal markings. The inscription suggests Will Henry's books are listed on p. 1, but in fact they are listed on p.5, the first five pages having no numbers. Among the authors whose works were on exhibit were the following: Andy Adams, Henry Allen, Dana Coolidge, J. Frank Dobie, Philip Durham, Everett L. Jones, Cliff Farrell, Frederick Faust, Brian Wynne Garfield Frederick Glidden, Zane Grey, Archibald Claveing Gunter, A.B. Guthrie, Jr., William S. Hart, Ernest Haycox, Emerson Hough, Tom Lea, Clarence E. Mulford, Frederic Remington, Eugene Manlove Rhodes, Jack Schaeffer, Thomas Thompson, and Owen Wister. The exhibit also included Western Magazines and the Eddie Hanson Collection of Western artifacts. Bookseller Inventory # 007818
