Orange cloth covers with black lettering on spine and front cover exhibit heavy wear, fraying and bumping on corners and spine ends. Very heavy soiling and shelf wear to covers and spine. Light wear to edges. Illustrated ffep has a large chip on the front edge. Inside front hinge is barely attached. Inside back cover hinge is cracked but still hanging on. The sketch on the inside back cover is soiling and yellowed. Text is yellowed as are the b&w photos. Otherwise clean and unmarked. Dedicated to the King's own Yorkshire Light Infantry who fell in the Battle of the Somme. "Being a very egotistical account of the authors experiences and observations from the early days of the war in Belgium to the Great Battle of the Somme in July, 1916."
