WHEN THE WATERS ROSE: A Story of Those Who Sank So Others Could Stand

The rain did not begin as a storm.

It began as something gentle—easy to ignore, easy to endure—until it became impossible to escape. Until it swallowed the ground beneath an entire people, leaving them struggling to survive in a world they were never taught to navigate.

They could not swim.

And the water kept rising.

As families begin to drown, the fathers make an unthinkable choice: to sink beneath the surface and lay their bodies down, forming a foundation so that those above them might live.

But sacrifice is not always enough.

Years pass. The water does not fall.

And now, the children must decide—

Will they accept the weight of what was started…
or will they disappear beneath the surface to finish it?
