Twelfth edition of a detailed guide to the Hudson Valley and the city of New York, designed "for the use of travellers and strangers," with a twenty-page table of principal railroad, steamboat, canal, and stage routes throughout the United States and Canada. The strip map of the Hudson is interspersed through several pages of text. While the primary titlepage states "twelfth edition" and 1852 as the publication date, a second, apparently incomplete titlepage is included in the preliminary advertising section listing 1853 as the date. SABIN 33530. Original stiff wrappers, title stamped in silver. Some occasional light foxing, else near fine.
