Illustrated by Ernest H. Shepard. Sm 8vo. Publisher's Navy blue cloth, with gilt spine lettering and gilt illustration of Badger, Rat, and Mole on the front cover. Yellow end papers are illustrated with blue map. 312 pages. With Shepard's drawings throughout. Name on front Free End Paper. Illustrated dust-jacket (with "$2.00" price intact) is torn and tattered, with remnants of old tape repairs. The dust-jacket is separated at spine, with pieces missing at spine, and the rear flap is detached from the rear panel along the fold line. An early printing of the 1933 edition which first introduced Shepard's drawings. Book is solid, in a tattered, torn dust-jacket. Seller Inventory # 6922
