Alfrieda Daly, PhD, was previously on the faculty of the School of Social Work at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick, where she taught courses in social policy, management, and human behavior in the social environment. She is a member of the Task Force on Disability and Persons with Disability of the Council on Social Work Education, the National Association of Social Workers, the American Psychological Association, the Association of Community Organizing and Social Administrators, and the Catalyst's Research Advisory Board on Women of Color. She is a consulting editor for the journal Social Work and has contributed to many professional journals, including Psychological Abstracts, Social Work, the Journal of Community Organizing, and Smith College Studies in Social Work.
