There were many training rides, in order to have the ability to ride our bicycles 60 to 80 miles per day. During our travels we rode 119 miles in one day. Read about that part of our travels in “The World Was Our Oyster, Until!” The “Until” is related to the events of 9/11, when the world changed from a trusting life style to one of mistrust. With the many changes, it made traveling by bicycle difficult and very expensive to fly with a bicycle.
