ILLUSTRATED WITH HAND-COLORED WOOD ENGRAVINGS - Octavo, 10-1/2 inches high by 7-1/8 inches wide. Softcover, bound in sewn cream paper self-wraps, with the title highlighted in color above a hand-colored engraving of David standing over Goliath. 10 pages, including the covers and with the inner pages printed on one side only. Each page, except for the rear cover, is illustrated with a half-page hand-colored wood engraving of a Biblical event. The covers and pages are darkened and stained. The edges of the pages are creased and chipped with several short tears and a few longer horizontal tears along the front edges of the pages. Fair. RARE. We are unable to locate any other copies of this book.James Wrigley published at 398 Grand Street from 1854 to 1860.Contains "Joseph and His Brethren", the "Death of Abel", the "Building of the Ark", "Abraham Offering Up His Son", "Moses in the Bullrushes", "Samson Carrying the Gates of Gaza", the "Death of Goliath" and "Daniel in the Lion's Den".Advertisement for "Juvenile Books and Stationery Published by J.
