Add to basketA charming commonplace book dating from just before the first world war belonging to Grace Bliss. It contains entries mainly from people in London, Norwich and Sheffield and includes 39 pages with drawings or sketches, some in colour, and many quite accomplished, by , amongst others: G.Jarrold, I.E.Chaplin,P.G.Fox, S.Daynes, and Archibald Purchas. It also includes a signed photograph of the child musical prodigy Max Derewski, and a charming letter to Miss Bliss from Dr James Scott Sequeira, upon her coming of age. A number of autographs are also present including those of early 20th century Lord Mayors of Norwich and 32 signatures of soldiers of varying rank, dated between 1916 and 1919, some from Norfolk regiments. I shall gladly send additional images on request. I think the price set is fair, but I am open to reasonable offers. Some scuffs, and loose leaves, though all still attached to binding. Tear to upper part of spine cover but still attached. Please see photos as they are an important part of the description.
