Wage (Paperback)

Paperback. The war on terror accomplished more in our own country than it did anywhere else. it gave aimless boys something to do. Macon Ross is one of those boys. One of the first in his town to sign his name on a recruiter's list following 9/11, he goes on to serve four tours in some of the most dangerous parts of the Middle East. However, once back home in his small southern town of Hoyt, he is confronted with the fact that civilian life is far more treacherous than he'd ever imagined. Now face to face not only with the demons from his past, but also with the stark truth of the crimes he committed during his service, will Macon acclimate or be the reckoning Hoyt has never seen coming?
