Wagon of Worries

What happens when one little worry turns into another... and another... and another?

Mable loves to collect things. So when she discovers an unusual little gray coin, adding it to her collection seems perfectly natural.

Except this isn't an ordinary coin.

It's a worry.

And once Mable starts looking, she discovers worries everywhere. One becomes two. Two become more. Before long, Mable has collected an entire wagon full—and carrying all those worries is becoming awfully heavy.

Then one day at church, Mable hears something that makes her wonder: What if she was never meant to carry all those worries herself?

Wagon of Worries by multi-award-winning children's book author Ruthie Godfrey uses a creative, child-friendly metaphor to help young readers understand worry, anxious thoughts, and the freedom of trusting Jesus with what feels too heavy to carry.

Beautifully illustrated and grounded in biblical truth, this encouraging Christian picture book opens meaningful conversations about anxiety, faith, trusting God, Scripture, identity, and where we choose to focus our thoughts. It's a wonderful resource for Christian families, Sunday school and children's ministry, homeschool lessons, counselors, classrooms, and libraries.

A hope-filled story for little worriers—and a beautiful reminder that we get to choose what we collect.
