WAITING FOR SANTA Words and Music by Jeffrey Eric Funk This Christmas Eve We’re gonna spy. We’ll see Santa With our own eyes. We’ll creep down the stairs, Hide by the tree. Eyes on the fireplace, Waiting quietly. We’re waiting for Santa, Santa come down the chimney Bring us some toys! We’re watching for reindeer And Rudolph. Christmas is coming; We’ll stay up late. We’re waiting for Santa. Cookies and milk: We made a bunch So there’s plenty Santa can munch. We just heard a sound Up on the roof. It could be nothing… Or a reindeer hoof! CHORUS Santa will come And we’ll hear him laugh, Chuckling, “Ho! Ho! Ho!” Ringing sleigh bells as elves go to work; Leaving toys for girls and boys, heigh-ho! We’re waiting for Santa, Santa come down the chimney Bring us some toys! We’re watching for reindeer And Rudolph. Christmas is coming; We’ll stay up late. We’re waiting for Santa. Hoo. *Lyric Sheet provided by the author/publisher and is used by permission.
