8vo, illustrated by photographs and drawings. 282 pgs, bound in green cloth, gilded lettering on spine. This book at one time was owned by Robert Gaston Herbert II he was an American artist born in 1873 and passed away in 1954. He was known for his marine paintings, commercial art, wood carvings, and other artistic mediums such as watercolor, charcoal, and pencil/pen-and-ink. His bookplate is on back of front board. A nice copy.
