Joseph Roggenbeck is a forty-four year old Quality Engineer working for a major auto company living in a small town in Michigan. Here he and his wife Cindy have raised their two grown daughters Jennifer and Michelle. He studies ancient Chinese art and philosophy in his spare time as well as music, gardening and writing poetry. His love of nature and a deep understanding of the human condition are the result of an intense life long search in learning ways to apply Taoism into a modern day Western world. As a student, he is relentless in his search for inner perfection. As a teacher he asks that you judge yourself, in his story now written.
