About the Author
Courtney Lovett received her BFA in visual arts from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. With her passion for stories and her love for kids, she has since pursued a career in illustration. Her past works include self-publish titles Jocelyn Learns to Dance and Look What God Made, and industry titles Join the Club, Maggie Diaz; Santa's Gotta Go; and NBA all-star Chris Paul's Basketball Dreams. Born and raised in Maryland, her work reflects her heritage and upbringing as she seeks to create uplifting stories from underrepresented perspectives. When she is not illustrating, she teaches at a local art studio in her hometown.
