About the Author

Gemma Denham is an author/illustrator living in the heart of Leicestershire in the UK. As a child Gemma was forever drawing, colouring, painting, and generally crafting anything she could! When asked as a child what she would like to be when she grew up, her answer was always 'I want to draw'. Throughout her life that answer never changed, and so in the summer of 2001, she became a children’s book illustrator. Eleven years later, after reading countless stories to her young son, she decided to further her career and get into writing. In 2013 she became a published author. 'As I was Walking' is Gemma's 3rd title.
