Walloon Writers Review Edition Six offers a stunning anthology of creative writing and nature photography that pays homage to the beauty of northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.
Each page features exciting new and established Michigan authors, poets and photographers, as well as writers who have spent time in the area. In words and pictures, each contributor lends their authentic voice to capture nature in all of its realms-its purity, brutality, and its power to nurture and restore the human spirit.
Founding editor Jennifer (Johnston) Huder lives writes and edits in Northern Michigan with her husband and family. Her professional writing for the arts and business have been included in numerous national and regional publications. Jennifer circled back to creative writing by creating a regional literary magazine that offers writers, readers and nature photographers a platform to share their passion for the region with others. She is a graduate of Michigan State University James Madison College and continues to grow in graduate level writing classes and workshops. Recently, Jennifer began a blog at northernmichigantalesandtrails.medium.com.
Associate Editor Glen Young serves as the Editor for this "edition 6", which was first released as a digital publication. Glen's poetry has appeared in Beneath the Lilacs, Thoreau on Mackinac and Walloon Writers Review and other writing in Split Rock Review. He is a fellow with the National Writing Project as well as co-director of the Tip of the Mitt Writing Project. Glen splits time between Petoskey and Mackinac Island.
