Walls of Stone (Fractured Secrets)

Republished version, this one has fixed plot holes and parts of story updated for clarification. This series contains violence, abuse (mental, sexual, physical), political satire, and other touchy subjects, with these subjects worsening through the series.

Ryder's on the run after powers surprisingly show up during a school fire, with his controlling friend following him and making it harder for him to stay hidden.
Sophie just got dragged back to the place her friend escaped her from, but now with magic, the people who abused her before now have new things to harm her with.
Lola, although grateful she's not being stared at in a carnival, still would much rather get back to a normal life back on land. Health declining, she's stuck relying on a guy who bribes abuse in trade for food.
Veronica just returned to the Earth Realm after her mysterious disappearance ten years ago, and already she's gotten herself and friends in trouble. Teaming up with Roshin and Dakota, she retrieves the kids and brings them to the haven of the Earth Realm, only for the Duchess to attack them soon after.
Glad to have escaped from their previous life, the three kids gladly team up with the others, fighting the Duchess's minions in a labyrinth. As they try to figure out what exactly the others are planning to do with them afterwards, they end up rescuing more kids like them and they all agree to find out what's going on with the world they landed in. After all, the truth sets you free, right?
