I'm a big nerd. I spend my days starting businesses, writing software and doing myriad other things that have nothing to do with writing children's books. I surprised everyone when I decided to put my first children's book together. While It was very much out of character, I have thoroughly enjoyed putting this book together. We started doing animal kisses with the birth of our first daughter. Over the last 13 years we have added 2 more girls and a boy along with dozens of new kisses to our bedtime routines. I wanted to capture those memories in an illustrated book to cherish forever. Don't worry, I am not planning on quitting my day job. Mar is a Argentinian illustrator from Buenos Aires. She has been working as freelance illustrator for children's books and animating for 3 years, in editorial, personal commissions, publishing and advertising. She creates work by hand but mainly digital illustrations almost exclusively with her Wacom tablet. Mar is able to work in many different styles. Mar's illustrations are expressive and colourful, textured, clean, cute and fun. She loves to make illustrations faithful to the brief, fulfilling her own imagination and satisfaction but most importantly, that of the client and reader.
