Walt Whitman (1819-1892) was one of the most influential poets in American literature. After suffering a stroke in 1873, he moved into his brother's home in Camden, New Jersey, and continued to live in Camden until his death. This volume is an account of his time in Camden, where he continued to write poetry. The home he bought there is now on the National Register of Historic Places.
