So You Want to Be a Teacher

A light hearted, but enlighting look at teaching with short, true experiences of a life long teacher. The book is not trying to make statements about education, but merely a collection of left-hand observations by a left-handed teacher.

The author was born, reared and still resides in the Ozarks of Southwest Missouri. He attended and graduated from a small rural school. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia and has done graduate work in many local schools and universities. Mr. Gorden grew up on a dairy farm. He still enjoys rural life and has taught junior high, senior high, veteran's classes, and Sunday School for many years. This is a collection of the author's experiences of teaching presented in his own dry witty style.
