Wanting: Poetry & Prose

A book of poetry and prose, love relationships involving make-up, break-up, and longing to have someone to love. Modern poetry and prose of family situations, happiness and growing pains of parenting, and growing up seeing what they have been trying to teach you.

Born June 19th, 1964. and raised in the North East Corridor of Washington, D.C., I am the 5th oldest of 14 children, 12 boys, and two girls. Parents, Ralph and Audrey Watkins; father was a Master Plumber and Electrician; and mother, a Homemaker. As early as 7 years old, I wanted to be a Poet. I loved gathering my thoughts and putting them into creative words on paper. I try fostering good thoughts, its not always possible. I write about life, love, family, relationship, and God. I am only limited by the lack of knowledge on the subject. But my goal is to share my thoughts; that will hopefully encourage and empower my readers. At the age of 51 years old, I have decided to publish my first book of Poetry and Prose. I have compiled years of work, that has been scattered, tattered, and faded pages. The lost ones are just that, lost forever. I don't think I waited too long, because I am still alive, and I believe my best days are ahead of me.
