And the Wars Went on Without Him

And the Wars Went on Without Him is a collection of short stories centred around the lives of Italian immigrant families during and after the second World War.Tales of love, loss, and redemption are weaved throughout the experiences of these families and their children as they find themselves plucked from the small village of Cassino in central Italy and thrust into new lands, new experiences, and whole new worlds. Will they just survive, or possibly even thrive, or will they fall victim to the entropy of life that grips so many lost souls and become nothing more than a forgotten memory.

Jeffrey Pacitto is a multidisciplinary artist from Toronto, Canada. He has published works in both the music and art fields including a long running independent comic book. The son of Italian immigrants, Jeffrey has taken the stories passed down from his grandparents and fictionalized them for his first collection of short stories.
