A Workmen s Circle program for the singing and discussion of Yiddish resistance songs composed by Jews suffering under Nazi oppression. Compiled by Jewish folklorist and scholar of Yiddish music Ruth Rubin, the program was meant to accompany a taped recording of the songs, which small groups would perform in honor of those who died in the Warsaw ghetto. The program contains an introduction by Educational Director J. Mlotek, a pronunciation guide, descriptions and the Yiddish lyrics to the seven songs, and biographical notes on Rubin and the song s composers. A supplement includes the musical notes and an English translation of the lyrics. Side-stapled, illustrated wrappers (11" x 8 �"), mimeographed, 23 leaves printed on rectos only, illustrations. A fine copy.
