About Warship Observer
Warship Observer strives to have the world's most comprehensive inventory of Jane's Fighting Ships. Other books on naval matters are carried as well. Every book is examined for merits and faults. Many editions have at least minor structural issues and repairs are often made. The covers of every copy are cleaned. Tears may be taped, loose elements glued, and hinges are reinforced or replaced as required. The terms rare or scarce can be overused. There is not an edition of JFS printed after 1939 that is rare, scarce or uncommon. WO often has copies of the same edition at two levels. One may be worn, perhaps of interest to the casual reader, while another may be more for the collector.
