About the Author

Born in 1947, Gisbert L. Brunner has explored wristwatches and precision timepieces since 1964. His passion for mechanical watches led him to write his first articles in the early 1980s. He contributes to various magazines, including Chronos Japan and ZEIT Magazin. In 2018, he co-founded the popular website www.uhrenkosmos.com. Gisbert Brunner has published over 30 books on watchmaking, ten with teNeues, for example the bestsellers The Watch Book I and II and The Watch Book Rolex in 2017 as well as 100 Iconic Watches (2024).
