Sent to live with his uncle, a World War II veteran, at his family restaurant in Paris, Henri is abused, worked to the bone, and ridiculed for his disability. Years later, at age twenty-three, Henri is desperate to escape the shackles of the family business, fall in love, and make his own mark in the world. After a chance encounter with a suave Swiss businessman, Henri glimpses a possible way out, but his best friend and cousin, Hugo, warns that this man likely has sinister motives. Should Henri heed his warning? Or is this just a ploy to prevent Henri from leaving the family business? Meanwhile, Henri meets a Christian woman at his college, and his heart fills with love and meaning. Although deeply confused, Henri is willing to follow the word of Christ. Brimming with unflinching hope, The Watch is an inspirational story of God's power to see us through the most challenging times in our lives. As Henri struggles with difficult circumstances and bewildering choices, God presents a bright path before him. Does Henri have the courage to take it? The Watch is a unique, wholesome story that will resonate in the hearts of readers long after they put it down This item is printed on demand.
