Clean, tight, unmarked; absolute minimal wear; appears unread; In 1948 Lawrence Deacon was tried and convicted in the death of a taxi driver. The author, who covered the trial for the Winnipeg Free Press, brings forward new evidence which clearly indicates that an innocent man was hanged. In this book, Morriss follows the trials and executions of the last seven men to be hanged in Manitoba and presents a compelling case against capital punishment.
