Ruth Sova, MS, is an internationally recognized leader in the health and fitness industry. Considered the world's foremost expert on aquatic fitness, she is founder and past-president of the Aquatic Exercise Association and president of the Aquatic Therapy and Rehabilitation Institute
Sova is author of 70 articles and several books on aquatic exercise for fitness instructors, including Aquatics: The Complete Guide for Aquatic Fitness Professionals, Aquatic Exercise, and The Aquatic Activities Handbook. She is winner of the first Presidential Sports Award in aquatic exercise, and recipient of the IDEA Outstanding Business Award, and the Aquatic Exercise Association’s Contribution to the Aquatics Industry Award. Sova is also a member of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance; the Council for National Coorperation in Aquatics; and the Wisconsin Governor's Council on Physical Fitness.
