Water Quality Monitoring System in Bhopal using Satellite & GIS Data: Aqua Vision

Decades after the tragic industrial disasters in Bhopal, the contamination of surface water remains a critical issue affecting ecosystems and communities. Protecting public health requires more than just periodic sampling; it demands continuous, large-scale vigilance. This book presents a transformative approach to environmental management: AquaVision. By moving beyond traditional manual testing, this system employs the "eyes in the sky"—satellite technology—to scan vast water bodies for hidden dangers. This text documents the creation of a powerful tool that not only detects current pollution levels but uses deep learning to predict future contamination trends. It showcases how complex data is translated into a user-friendly web dashboard, empowering local authorities and stakeholders with real-time insights needed for swift intervention.Read how science and technology converge to create a proactive defense system for our most precious resource. This book is an essential resource for anyone interested in the intersection of environmental policy, public health, and modern technology.
