Amity, Oregon. Sand Lake Press. 1998. Limited Edition. Number 358 of 1000 copies. Color frontispiece. Text illustrations. Signed by the author on the title page. The Bob Wethern copy. Inscribed on the limitation page: "For Friend Bob, for many pleasant / memories shared together without / firing a single shot! / [signed] Dave Hagerbaumer". Above the inscription Mr. Hagerbaumer has drawn a goose in flight. Laid-in is a four-page holograph letter from David Hagerbaumer addressed to Bob Wethern in which the author discusses his books, up-coming publications, and encourages Bob to complete a book on fly-fishing. For those who may not have known about the late Bob Wethern, he was a distinguished man of letters and one of the founding members of the Flyfishers Club of Oregon. Mr. Wethern also served as acquisitions editor for the Champoeg Press of Forest Grove and in that role was the talented and driving force behind the publication of several well-known works, including two by the late George Grant. The book is bound in black leatherette with silver titles and decorations. A nice copy. Fine.
