Explore the legacy of one of the greatest battles in military history—the Battle of Waterloo—through this finely crafted collection of objects, each telling its own story of that fateful day.
Bullet-pierced armor and dramatic battledress bring readers closer to the heart of the action, while the staggering death toll is made all the more poignant by the personal mementos left behind.
From the grim reality of teeth taken from the fallen and turned into dentures to the romance of Napoleon’s steeds, swashbuckling swords, and elegant ballgowns, each object offers fresh insight into the extraordinary events of June 18, 1815.
This is a fascinating journey through one hundred objects—both rare and familiar—forming a unique testament to the enduring significance of the Battle of Waterloo, two centuries on.
