Watershed Development and Health

In India, watershed development is important in the rejuvenation of degraded ecosystems in the rural semi-arid regions. The economic and social changes as facilitated by watershed development are well known. However, the impact this can have on community health are not well documented. Watershed development along with health inputs have the potential to bring about a change in the health culture of a community.
