A Way of Escape

CHANGING THE WAY BELIEVERS

DO BATTLE WITH THE FLESH

Most Christian authors and all builders of the higher-profile Bible-based purity programs insist that escape from a porn addiction is possible only with flesh-starving accountability. Not true! Relying only on the Holy Spirit, the Way of Escape Battle Plan shows readers how to:

• Use limbic weaponry to access and reprogram the brain
• Diffuse the flesh by "walking in the Spirit" (Galatians 5:16)
• Initiate regular intimacy with the Spirit, resulting in:
  • Dramatic drops in both the number and strength of "incomings"
  • Mind renewal without flesh-starving accountability

The still-struggling now have another option. The still-struggling now have fresh hope for discovering God's promised way of escape (I Corinthians 10:13). A way that-because it is wholly Spirit-powered-does not require enlisting the aid of a flesh-starving accountability partner or group. Truly, a game-changer!

What Others Say About This Book:

In a culture where temptation is only a click away, Wiley Graf offers more than just another "try harder" strategy-he lays out a Spirit-powered way of escape. What I appreciate most about this book is that it's both honest and hopeful. Wiley writes with the vulnerability of someone who has been in the fight, but also with the conviction that freedom is possible through the power of the Holy Spirit. This resource is biblical, practical, and deeply needed for anyone longing to walk in purity. While Wiley affirms the biblical mandate for accountability and the blessings of community, he writes here with a specific focus on the wounded believer struggling in the isolated prisons of shame and fear. In that way, "A Way of Escape" can be seen as a precursor to the fuller joy of participation within the Family of God. And while not every generation-such as millennials who may resonate more with the Passion Worship movement-will connect with his specific musical suggestions, the principles he lays out are universally applicable. I gladly commend this book to believers who are weary of shame and ready to discover the life-giving freedom God promises.
