An Original early 18th Century pamphlet. Complete. Possibly disbound, but could have been published 'as is'. It does state after the Printer's details - "For the Benefit of the Poor". Generally good, but with browned pages, most pages loose and splitting at the spine and a slightly ragged edge to the blank fore-edge of page one, with some small losses to the top and bottom of the blank spine edge. The Third Edition. 8vo. 24 pp including the covers. Published by Her Majesty's Special Command. Pages browned with age. An old Institutional stamp to the last page = ".of South Wales". Adds at the End the information that - "The foregoing Sermon being too long to be Preach'd at once, those parts of it which are thus enclosed [ ] were omitted when it was preached before the QUEEN." . Ofspring Blackall was Chaplain in Ordinary to her Majesty. Blackall who died in 1716 was a Cambridge man, opponent of Toland on Scripture, Boyle lecturer, somewhat of non-juring sympathy.
