A wildly entertaining collection of family stories following two immigrant families, the Barcios and the Nudis, from their roots in Southern Italy to neighborhoods all over America, from South Chicago to Houston to San Diego to Las Vegas to Indianapolis, New York and all points in between. Riotously funny and at times heartbreakingly sentimental, the stories in "That's Not The Way I Remember It..." will ring true to anyone whose family roots run deep.
Bernard F. Barcio holds an M.A. in Latin and Greek from the University of Michigan and an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Butler University in Indianapolis. He did graduate work in Naples, Italy, while studying with Tufts University.
After spending his childhood years in Wisconsin and Nebraska, Dr. Barcio enjoyed a successful career teaching classical studies to elementary, secondary, and university level students.
Throughout his professional career, the author remained dedicated to his family and Italian heritage, both of which continue to occupy a special place in his heart and mind. It is this dedication that has led to his authorship of this book
