About the Authors: Judith Terstriep (Dr.) ist Wirtschaftswissenschaftlerin, Direktorin des Forschungsschwerpunkts »Innovation, Raum & Kultur« am Institut Arbeit und Technik der Westfälischen Hochschule Gelsenkirchen. Ihre Forschung fokussiert das Zusammenspiel von Innovation, Netzwerken, Wissen und Gesellschaft aus innovations-, management- und raumtheoretischer Perspektive. Schwerpunkte sind regionale Innovationsstrategien, Erfassung und Wirkung Sozialer Innovationen, gesellschaftliche Innovationsfähigkeit, missionsorientierte Forschungs- und Innovationspolitik sowie die sozial-ökologische Transformation von Regionen und die Neuausrichtung der Wirtschaftspolitik hin zu einer sozial-ökologischen Marktwirtschaft.

Stefan Gärtner (Prof. Dr.) leitet als geschäftsführender Direktor das Institut Arbeit und Technik der Westfälischen Hochschule in Gelsenkirchen. Dort verantwortet er auch den Forschungsschwerpunkt »Raumkapital«. In seiner wissenschaftlichen Arbeit konzentriert er sich auf städtische und regionale Ökonomien sowie urbane Produktion. Sein Studium und seine Promotion hat er an der Technischen Universität Dortmund absolviert.
