Synopsis
Using the H.D. Vest System for achieving financial security, the authors "open the world of investing to everyone, by stripping away jargon and complexity. They show how anyone, using their Federal Tax Form 1040 as a road map, can develop a sound investment strategy that may lead to financial security."--Arthur W. Bowman, editor, Bowman's Accounting Report.
Reviews
Vest and Niedermeier are executives in H. D. Vest Financial Services--as they frequently remind the reader: "You might also urge him your accountant to call the 800 number so that she sic may join the growing H. D. Vest network of representatives nationwide." Still, this well-paced text rates high marks for explaining effectively the maze of investment options. The authors' recommended source for individual account analysis is a novel one: the U.S. Income Tax Form 1040. With its summary of income, investment, property, liability, tax-bracket and other basic information, the 1040 provides "a snapshot of your financial status," note the authors. And a cash-flow idea presented here is sensible, if self-evident: arrange to withdraw systematically from your mutual fund an amount smaller than the fund's current dividend and leave the rest to compound. $50,000 ad/promo; author tour.
