The Weavers Assistant. This handbook explains in a familiar manner, the first principles of the art of weaving. It contains upwards of eighty different drafts among which are comprised, many curious and figured drafts, of both diapers and coverlets. Also included is an account on observations of draft painting and an appendix containing several useful tables. This book was originally published in 1818. Many of the earliest books on weaving, textiles and needlework, particularly those dating back to the 1900's and before are now extremely rare and increasingly expensive.
