Dabei sollen Gemeinsamkeiten in den eingesetzten Techniken herausgearbeitet werden, um ein Shopsystem um ein Content Management zu erg�nzen. Angesichts steigender Nachfrage nach Content Management f�r Webstores soll festgestellt werden, welche Art von zus�tzlichen Informationen zu den in einem Webstore vertriebenen Produkten sinnvoll sind, und in welcher Art und Weise sie angeboten werden sollten, um den Informationsbedarf des Kunden zu gen�gen und dem Kunden die Kaufentscheidung im Hinblick auf die Verkaufsf�rderung zu erleichtern. Des weiteren wird diskutiert, welche Ver�nderungen und Vorteile durch eine solche Integration f�r Kunden und Anbieter zu erwarten sind. Diese Arbeit macht intensiven Gebrauch von Informationen aus aktuellen und archivierten Fachzeitschriften, dem umfangreichen Informationsangebot von IBM [IBMw1] sowie dem World Wide Web: Das WWW dient als Informationsquelle f�r wissenschaftliche Beitr�ge von Instituten und Universit�ten, Studien von Marktforschungs- und Beratungsunternehmen und technische Dokumentationen von Herstellern und Entwicklern. Des weiteren bietet das WWW Informationen zu aktuellen Themen, mit denen sich die klassische Literatur noch nicht auseinandersetzen konnte. In die Diplomarbeit flie�en praktische Projekterfahrungen ein, die extern in der IBM Global Services in Heidelberg entstanden.
