About this Item

A near Very Good copy of this c. late 1800s/early 1900s issue. Blue embossed cloth with a few smudges. and a sunned spine cloth, but still bright spine title. Crown cloth is frayed with barely bumped corners; blue cloth is lightly soiled. Does not detract. A previous owner name on blank front free-end-paper (in Copperplate). Tissue guard in place for frontispiece. Scattered mild foxing (rear end-papers more so) with just a few page tips creased. Author was a famed Scottish preacher in the late 1870s who wrote these morality stories for children.Approx 4" x 6 1/2" tall. Delightful item. 96 pages. Hard to find title in the original. Protected in a mylar slip. Seller Inventory # 003487
