96 p. illustrated with b/w sketches by the author and with glossy full-page colour photographs by John Markham; designs and layout by Eric Moss. No publication date. Short bibliography at the back. A beginner's handbook on birds. Sections include basic ornithology, kinds of birds, bird watching, nesting, migration, drawing and photographing birds. Interior intact, unmarked. Sewn binding is beginning to separate at the middle of the book and the front cover is almost completely detached. Cover is illustrated, front and back, with 8 bird sketches each. Muted tones of grey, light green, yellow and light blue. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
