The Weight of Grace: Learning to Carry What Cannot Be Put Down

Every person you pass is carrying something you cannot see.

The Weight of Grace is a short allegorical novella about a man who stops judging the burdens of others and starts recognizing his own reflected in them. Sam's journey from isolation to unexpected compassion asks a simple but disarming question: what changes when we finally admit what we've been carrying alone?

This edition includes the complete companion workbook, a six-chapter guided journey structured around ACT's six core psychological processes (the Hexaflex model). Each chapter pairs reflection questions, guided exercises, and space to write with the corresponding part of Sam's journey, making the book equally suited to personal reading or structured use in a therapeutic setting.

Therapists and counselors familiar with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy will recognize the framework throughout. This book was written to be a companion to that work, not a substitute for it, and the workbook explicitly invites readers to bring their reflections into session with a licensed counselor.

If you've ever felt alone in your struggle, or you walk alongside people who do, this one is for you.
