The Weirdest Thing of All

A brand new collection of poetry by former Children's Laureate Michael Rosen, author of We're Going on a Bear Hunt, with illustrations by acclaimed artist Ed Vere.

There’s this thing we call

the ‘chain of life’.

It’s the way we hand on

the things we do and the things we say

to the people we know

and the people we meet.

We may never meet

the people who come before us on the chain,

again,

but we meet people

who are next on the chain.

Or…

some of us write things down

and pass things on down the chain

to the people who read

what we write.

In this beautiful, funny, and moving collection of brand new poems, beloved writer and former Children's Laureate Michael Rosen shares an unforgettable series of stories, experiences and memories of his own childhood.

Beautifully illustrated throughout by acclaimed artist Ed Vere, this is a book to treasure and share – a perfect introduction to poetry for readers of all ages.
