Welcome to Chanu-Con!

Join Max and his sister Lila as they navigate their synagogue's Chanukah extravaganza, "Chanu-Con!" A comic book style graphic children's book written in verse and inclusive of the Chanukah story with its deeper meanings, "Welcome to Chanu-Con!" is the first collaboration between Beth Rodgers, author and Chanu-Con! founder, and veteran children's illustrator, Howard Fridson.

It was Chanu-Con! and he knew it was going to be awesome. There would be a bounce house, crafts and cool toys, and fun everywhere. Max and his sister Lila stand in line and as they enter, they feel the festive spirit of Chanukah all around them. The food is tempting and the toys and treats are exciting. There are musical instruments with teachers to help the children if they want to try. They had a fudge stand and Max wants the chocolate to fill his plate. He enjoys making the candlelight using paper and he paints a dreidel. He climbs the bounce house and Mom gathers the kids for a quick photograph.
Welcome to Chanu-Con! by Beth Rodgers captures the essence of Chanukah in a wonderful way. The book is fun and interactive and Howard Fridson makes the author's words come to life with his fun and delightful illustrations. It is a good book to help children understand Chanukah and what it means. Beth Rodgers' approach makes it interactive for children and they will enjoy the activities listed in the book as they learn about the things associated with Chanukah. This is an informative and educational book and can be used in classrooms to teach children about Chanukah and what it means.
