The continent of Ormeri is vast and trackless, a reserve for dragons who seek to live wild and cook their meals by the heat of their own breath. Although it is the largest continent on Theoma, it has a bare handful of settlements, none of which merit the term city. If the hunter and farmer Taltios were to travel anywhere, it would be a trip to Ormeri.

Yet a complication soon arises when Taltios meets the yellow-feathered Zolcha the Telepath. For Zolcha impulsively joins the journey… and cannot fly. A two week camping trip immediately becomes immensely slower. What will happen to Taltios in so much time far from home?
