Hb, , green cloth with gilt inlay, no dj, 161pp (+12pp) + 2 b/w plates. Good, bumped corners, light cover marks, retail stamp on fep, a couple of pages have small smudges but contents otherwise clean. Mainly a 2-move guide plus 139 problems. The preamble states " A text book for all grades of players, containing in Harvey L. Hopkins lecture the early history of the game and up-to-date methods and conduct of play".
