THERE ARE NO TARIFFS OR CUSTOMS DUTIES ON BOOKS. Hardback bound by Riviere & Son with gilt decoration and lettering to cover and spine, and marbled endpapers. Corners are bumped and the spine is discoloured. The binding is tight. There are very superficial scuffs and scratches on the leather. The top edge of the page block is gilt but the side and bottom edges are foxed. There are varying degrees of foxing throughout. The worst foxing is on the flyleaves and the early (pp. 1-16) and late (pp. 490-506) pages of the text. Undated but appears to be early 1900s. There is a prize label on the front pastedown dated 1933.
