Synopsis
"Remember how you felt when you first left home for college? The thrill (and fear) of being on your own? Remember the parties, the late night study sessions, the early morning classes, not knowing how to cook, the home games and all the choices you faced every second of the day? It's a critical transition. A time when faith may be tested. Help the young adults you know and love find a closer relationship with God during the adjustments and opportunities of college life. Compiled by two campus ministers, What About God? is devotional prayer book divided into weekly themes focusing on relevant and contemporary issues, including independent living, sexuality and embracing doubt. Each week includes an opening prayer, scripture readings, reflection, excerpts from spiritual writings, journaling ideas, and closing prayer. ""Amid all of the challenges and changes that graduation from high school brings, this book is meant as a guide to a spiritual discipline of prayer and reflection that can be a touchstone, a lifeline, a way to grow in a relationship with God,"" write the authors. ""...Sometimes the journey will be full of high adventure, insight, and energy. Other times it may be dull and boring - a matter of going through the motions. You'll be amazed at the power and wonders God can work in our lives if we stay open to God, week by week, one day at a time."""
